Looking for a Coach!

Thamesford Skating Club

… is currently looking for a qualified Skate Canada coach for our Learn to Skate and CanSkate programs for the 2014-2015 season and beyond. Our season runs from October-March on Tuesdays, Fridays (freelance only) and Saturdays. Currently, we require a Learn to Skate and CanSkate coach for Tuesdays and to fill in when needed on Saturdays . There is also the opportunity for private/freelance lessons for Junior and Senior programs on all 3 days.  Our Club’s goal is to ensure delivery of quality Skate Canada programming in a fun, learning, and team oriented environment.  We are looking for candidates who are reliable, positive, and personable, who can work well in a team environment and whose greatest goal is to help our skaters achieve their goals. All applicants must submit a copy of their NCCP coaching credentials, police background check, current Skate Canada Professional Membership and First Aid certificate.  Please also include a minimum of two references, preferably from clubs at which you have coached and two personal references. The duties of our coaches include:

·         Coordination of your program

·         Provide progress reports and communicate with parents/guardians

·         Training of Program Assistants

·         Assist with planning and choreography of our annual skating carnival

·         Organize and prepare skaters for competition

·         Liaise with the Club Executive

We will be accepting applications until June 6, 2014.
